Samantha graduated from Athens Area High School in 1995 and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, along with a minor in secondary education, in 2001. She then spent eight years working at CYS in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. During that time, she received the C-Well Grant Award, which fully funded her Master’s Degree at Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, which she completed in May 2012. That same year she received the Child Welfare Education for Leadership Award. Since then, Samantha has worked with individuals of all ages, including older adults, in both in-home and out-of-home settings. She has experience supporting individuals dealing with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and substance use and abuse. Her warm, rational, therapeutic approach has helped foster strong, trusting connections with her clients. In April 2026, Samantha was recognized as Social Worker of the Month. She is also a certified anger management specialist and skillfully leads the anger management group at Northern Tier. In addition, Samantha leads a uniquely engaging art therapy group that encourages creativity, self-expression, and healing.
